JUDGEAND CLERK OF JUVENILE COURT TO THE SHERIFF OF WILCOX COUNTY  TOTHE COUNTY MANAGER/BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF WILCOX COUNTY  ORDER DECLARATION OFJUDICIAL EMERGENCY  WHEREAS, it has been determined that a statewide judicial emergency exists due to Hurricane Helene, having been sO declared by the Governor oft the State of Georgia; ITIS' THEREFORE ORDERED that, pursuant to O.C.G.A. $38-3-61, Robert W. Chasteen, Jr., ChiefJudge of the Cordele Judicial Circuit declares that aj judicial emergency exists in Wilcox County. Therefore, the Courthouse of Wilcox County, Georgia shall be closed on Friday, September 27, 2024, or until further order of the Court. Provided this Order is not extended or otherwise modified, the courthouse will re-open for normal operations on Monday,  September 30, 2024 at 8:00 a.m.  ITISI FURTHER ORDERED that, pursuant to O.C.G.A. $38-3-62, all court deadlines, time schedules or filing requirements are hereby suspended, tolled, or extended for the duration  oft the judicial emergency as noted above; and Order on the courthouse doors; and  ITISF FURTHER ORDERED that the Sheriff, or his designee, shall post a copy oft this ITIS FURTHER ORDERED that the Clerk of the Superior Court, or her designee, shall immediately notify the ChiefJustice oft the Supreme Court and the Clerks ofthe Court of  Appeals and Supreme Court by sending them a copy ofthis Order; and  ITISE FURTHER ORDERED that the County Manager, or her designee, shall post a copy of this Order and any subsequent modification or extension in accordance with O.C.G.A. $38-3-  63 on the county website or other appropriate public address system.
