ORDINANCE #007-24  AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF DE LEON, TEXAS ADOPTING A BUDGET FOR THE ENSUING FISCAL YEAR BEGINNING ON OCTOBER 1, 2024 AND ENDING ON SEPTEMBER 30, 2025IN ACCORDANCE WITH CHAPTER 102 OF THE TEXAS LOCAL GOVERNMENT CODE; REPEALING ALL ORDINANCES OR PARTS OF ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT HEREWITH; AND PROVIDING FOR WHEREAS, the City Secretary of the City of De Leon has, in accordance with the laws of the State ofTexas and the Charter of the City of De Leon, submitted to the City Council of the City of De Leon a proposed budget of the revenues of said City and the expenditures for conducting the affairs thereof and providing a complete financial plan for the fiscal. -year beginning October 1, 2024 and ending September 30, 2025, and which said proposed budget has been compiled from detailed information from the several departments, divisions, and officès. ofi  AN EFFECTIVEDATE.  the City;and  WHEREAS, the budget for the fiscal year beginning October 1, 2024 and ending September 30, WHEREAS, the City Council has received said proposed budget, a copy ofwhich has been filed WHEREAS, public notice that hearings upon said budget would be held has been given as NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF Section 1. That the proposed budget for the fiscal year beginning on October 1,2024 and ending  2025 will raise more property taxes as last year'st budget; with the City Secretary of the City of De Leon; and  required by law.  DE LEON, TEXAS that:  on September 30,2025, attached as Exhibit' "A"isapproved and adopted by the City  Council oft the City of Del Leon.  Section 2. That the Mayor of the City of De Leon is hereby authorized to make intra-department  fund transfers during the fiscal year as becomes necessary in order to avoid over expenditure of a particular account. Transfer of funds shall be approved by  Department Heads prior to transfers being made.  Section3. That all ordinances or parts ofordinances in conflict herewith are hereby repealed. Section 4. That this Ordinance shall take effect immediately upon its adoption by the City  Council and publication as required by the City Charter or the Texas Local  Government Code.
