Mcintosh Town Council Minutes Mcintosh Town Council Meeting Civic Center 5835 Avenue G Dec. 10, 2020 The meeting was called to order with the reciting of the Pledge to the Flag. Roll call was taken with Council Vice-President Ciotti, Council Member Jones, Council Member Naworensky, Mayor Roddy, Town Manager Nelson present. President Callahan, Council Member Sindledecker and Attorney Wolking attended via phone due to COVID. Consent Agenda Items: All matters listed within the Consent Agenda have been distributedi to each memberoft the Mcintosh Town Council fori reading and study, are considered to be routine, and will be enacted by one motion of the Council with no separate discussion. If separate discussion is desired, that item may be removed from the Consent Agenda and placed on the Regular Agenda by 1) Minutes of the Town Council Meetings for Nov.2020 were read. The financial report for Nov. 2020 Council Member Naworensky made a motion to accept the consent agenda. Council Member Guests: Liam Gallagher asked council for approval to install fitness equipment, in-ground markers, and asmall bulletin board at' Van Ness Park to meet requirements for his Eagle Scout Project. Liam told council that he chose this project because he believes it will help residents lead a healthier lifestyle. Council members said they were impressed with the project and encouraged Liam to submit a site plan once he had more details. Jones made a motion to preliminarily accept Gallagher's proposed project with the caveat that a site plan would be submitted before final approval. Naworensky seconded. request. Citizen Comments: Citizen Board Committee Updates: Historical Board- Melinda Downing informed council that she would ask the historical board members toreview Section 8.02 in the Historic Code that pertains to membership and election of officers at the board's upcoming meeting. She asked council to research whether they would be willing to make a change to the historic board's length of service which limits members to serving six consecutive years. Council asked Nelson to consult with the attorney to see if the length of term was mandatory or up to council's discretion. The matter will be revisited at. January's council meeting. Message from the Town Manager: A. Repair of Pump Two-N Nelson advised that Blackwell Electric would need to reinstall monitoring equipment on pump two because the data was not retrievable on the first attempt. B. Lights at park - Nelson told council that she received an email from Council Member Jones concerning a receptacle and light socket on two of the antique lights in the park that were not working. Town Hall Building and Repair Options- Council set a workshop for Tues., Dec.22 @7 p.m. in the civic center to discuss whether to repair thet town hall's leaking roof or look at a renovation or rebuild. Land Development Code -Ciotti encouraged council to look at several documents relating to the Land Development Code for possible updates.
