September 13, 2016 The Dale County Commission convened its regular meeting on Tuesday, September 13, 2016. The following members were present: Mark Blankenship, Chairman; District One Commissioner Chris Carroll; District Two Commissioner Steve McKinnon; District Three Commissioner Charles W. Gary and District Four Commissioner James W. Strickland. September 13, 2016 PROCLAMATION 50 YEARS OF COMMUNITY ACTION Commissioner Strickland made a motion to approve signing the Proclamation, proclaiming October 12, 2016 as Community Action Program Inc. Day. Commissioner Gary seconded the motion. All voted aye. Motion carried. APPROVE ALABAMA YOUTH SERVICES CONTRACT Commission Gary made a motion to approve the Southeast. Alabama Diversion Center, Youth Services Contract. Contract is from October 2016 - September 2017. Commissioner McKinnon seconded the motion. All voted aye. Motion carried. APPROVE SICKL LEAVE DONATION REQUEST Commissioner Gary made a motion to approve the sick leave donation from Dale County employees to go to Kim Tharpe, who is employed in the Probate office and has stage 4 Lung cancer. Commissioner Strickland seconded the motion. All voted aye. Motion carried. APPROVE -ROAD AND BRIDGE AWARDS Commissioner Strickland made a motion to approve recommendations from Derek Brewer Dale County Engineer for Road & Bridge Bids = Traffic signs, (Osburn Associates, Inc, G&C Supply Co., Inc and Vulcan Signs) Chip seal Paving w/ Emulsified Asphalt, (S&C Materials & Paving, Inc.)
