December 05, 2017 The Dale County Commission convened in a regular session Tuesday, December 05, 2017. The following members were present: Mark Blankenship, Chairman; District Two; District Three Charles W. Gary; and Chairman Blankenship called the meeting to order at 11:00 am. Commissioner McKinnon opened with the District Four Commissioner Frankie Wilson. Pledge of Allegiance. Commissioner Wilson followed with prayer. APPROVED- MINUTES - December 05, 2017 REGULARSESSION Commissioner McKinnon made a motion to approve the minutes of the November 14, 2017 meeting. Commissioner Gary seconded the motion, all voted aye. Motion carried. Commissioner McKinnon made a motion to approve the travel request for: Commissioner Wilson seconded the motion, all vote aye. Motion carried, APPROVED - TRAVEL REQUEST Raye Ann Calton - Commission = January 24. -25, 2018 - Administrators Financial Workshop- - Prattville, AL.-$490.00 APPROVED - DALE COUNTY EMPLOYEE CHANGE OF STATUS Commissioner Gary made a motion to approve; Christopher Parrish - Laborer - R&B - $9.00 per hour Matthew Smith = Promotion = Correctional Officer - Jail- $9.60 per hour Commissioner Wilson seconded the motion, all voted aye. JAIL-TOBEI PAID FROM AD VALOREM Commissioner McKinnon made a motion to approve the paying $2420.00 (wiregrass welding service) for work done inj jail to be paid out oft the Jail Ad' Valorem fund. Commissioner Gary seconded the motion, all voted aye. Motion carried APPROVED- MEMORANDUM OF WARRANTS Commissioner McKinnon made a motion to approve the memorandum of warrants. (Payroll check number(s) 154432- 154434, Payroll direct deposit numbers 25627 25764, and Accounts Payable check numbers 78243-78380). Commissioner Gary seconded the motion, and it carried unanimously. FORDF F-1 150BIDS Department; The following quotes were received to finance the purchase of Ford F-1580 for the Maintenance CB&T 2.7%, Friend 2.7% with $200.001 fees, Commercial 2.67% Peoples South 2.95% APPROVED - FINANCING MAINTINANCE TRUCK Commissioner Wilson made a motion tot finance a Ford F-150 truck with Commissioner Gary seconded the motion, all voted aye. Motion carried. APPROVED - RECEIVING ANNUAL CRUSHED CONCRETE BIDS Gary seconded the motion, all voted aye. Motion carried. APPROVED - REAPPRAISAL TRUCK- SURPLUS Commercial Bank, the lowest quote, for 48 months at an Interest rate of 2.67% with no fees. Commissioner McKinnon made a motion to solicit bids for crushed concrete (Wash-out). Commissioner Commissioner Gary made a motion to surplus 2004 Dodge Dakota Sport Quad Cab 4x4 Inventory #1537, Vin# 1D7HG38K345611372 Commissioner Wilson seconded the motion, all voted aye.
