Dale County Commission Commission Meeting Minutes - July 10, ,2018 The Dale County Commission convened in a regular session Tuesday July 10, 2018. The following members were present: Chairman Mark Blankenship; District One Commissioner Chris Carroll; District Two Commissioner Steve McKinnon; District Three Commissioner Charles W. Gary; and District Four Commissioner Frankie Wilson. Chairman Blankenship called the meeting to order at 11:00 am. Commissioner McKinnon opened with the Pledge of Allegiance. Commissioner Gary followed with prayer. APPROVED - MEMORANDUM OF WARRANTS Commissioner McKinnon made a motion to approve the following Memorandum of Warrants: Payroll check numbers 154477-154481. Payroll direct deposit numbers 27815-27946. Accounts Payable check numbers 80482-80608. Commissioner Carroll seconded the motion, all voted aye. Motion carried. APPROVED - MINUTES Commissioner McKinnon made a motion to approve the Minutes of the Commission Commissioner Carroll seconded the motion, all voted aye. Motion carried Meeting on June 26, 2018. APPROVED - SUPPORT OF DEVELOPMENT Commissioner Carroll made a motion to support the development and marketing of Commissioner McKinnon seconded the motion, all voted aye. Motion carried. See Exhibit 1. Commissioner Wilson seconded the motion, all voted aye. Motion carried. TABLED - CO. RD. 560 BRIDGE- BID Commissioner Gary made a motion to tabled the award of the bid for Co Rd 560 bridge. Commissioner McKinnon seconded the motion, all voted aye. Motion carried. APPROVED - PERSONNEL Commissioner Wilson made a motion to approve the following: 1. Christian Simpson = New Hire - Deputy Sheriff (pre-academy) 2. Lonnie Lee Spells - New Hire - Correctional Officer 3. Timothy Crooks = Transfer - Lieutenant (Sheriff) Commissioner Gary seconded the motion, all voted aye. Motion carried. APPROVED - EXECUTIVE SESSION Commissioner McKinnon made a motion to approve the Commission going into executive session per the advice of County Attorney, Henry Stegall. Reason: General Reputation and Character. Commissioner Gary seconded the motion, all voted aye. Motion carried Commissioner Carroll made the motion to approve the Commission would reconvene after executive session. Commissioner McKinnon seconded the motion, all vote aye. Motion carried.
