MISS Dale County Commission Commission Meeting Minutes = July 14, 2020 The Dale County Commission convened in a regular session Tuesday, July 14, 2020. The following members were present: Chairman Mark Blankenship; District One Commissioner Chris Carroll; District Two Commissioner Steve McKinnon; District Three Commissioner Chairman Blankenship called the meeting to order at 10:25am. Commissioner McKinnon opened with the Pledge of Allegiance. Commissioner Wilson followed with prayer. Charles W. Gary and District; and Four Commissioner Frankie Wilson. APPROVED - AGENDA Commissioner McKinnon made a motion to approve the agenda with the addition of two items for Personnel. Commissioner Carroll seconded the motion, all voted aye. Motion carried. APPROVED = MEMORANDUM OF WARRANTS Commissioner Gary made a motion to approve the following Memorandum of Warrants: Accounts Payable Check. Numbers 87085-87289. Payroll Check Numbers: 154680-154681. APPROVED - TOWN OF PINCKARD = CDBG GRANT Commissioner Gary made a motion to approve a letter of support for the Town of Pinckard's application for an ADECA CDBG Grant for street improvements. Commissioner McKinnon seconded the motion, all voted aye. Motion carried. APPROVED = ACCA MEETING Commissioner Wilson made a motion to approve Commissioner McKinnon to attend the ACCA's meeting on Thursday, August 20, 2020 and all expenses associated with this travel. Commissioner Gary seconded the motion, all voted aye. Motion carried. APPROVED - HAZARD DUTY PAY Commissioner Gary made a motion to approve hazard duty pay for employees in the Sheriff and Jail office. This expenditure was approved for reimbursement from a DOJ Grant. APPROVED - CAPITAL FUND 116 EXPENDITURE - BLDG AT PISTOL RANGE Commissioner Gary made a motion to approve soliciting a public works bid for a training facility and voting machine storage at the Sherif's firing range. See Exhibit 3. Commissioner Wilson seconded the motion, all voted aye. Motion carried. TRAINING FACILITY/VOTING MACHINE STORAGE APPROVED = ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT INCENTIVE REQUEST - FUND 110 Commissioner McKinnon made a motion to approve the incentive request of $20,000. for Hope Healthcare. See Exhibit 4. Commissioner Wilson seconded the motion, all voted aye. Motion carried. APPROVED = ADVALOREM JAIL TAX - FUND 151 Commissioner McKinnon made a motion to approve the expenditure of $7,160.00 for the installation of a 4-ton air conditioner. See Exhibit 5. APPROVED - MARY HILL FAMILY SERVICE CENTER Commissioner Carroll made a motion to approve the expenditure of $2,670.00 for an addition of an awning for the building (owned by County) occupied by the Mary Hill Family Service Center.
