PRESENT: PRESIDENT TIM MCDANIEL, COMMISSIONER PHIL HART, COMMISSIONER SUSIE CVECHKO, COUNTY CLERK CONNIE KAUFMAN AND SHANA FREY COUNTY ADMINSTRATOR Tammy Narog, Annette Santilli, Mariji Ilic, J.W. Wyatt, Ron Skidmore Tim McDaniel called the meeting to order and led the pledge. The Commission requested a moment of silence for the Texas shooting. On a motion by Susie Cvechko and seconded by Phil Hart, the meeting minutes from October 2, 2017 and October 23, 2017 were approved. John Cutright presented exonerations. Connie Kaufman presented sixteen (16) final settlements. On a motion by Phil Hart and seconded by Ms. Kaufman also mentioned a letter that was received from Talbott's Funeral Home for action to be taken on the. James Davis estate. Ms. Kaufman requested this request be tabled until she can speak with Ms. Kaufman discussed the Special Election Reimbursement in the amount of $23,595.36, which will be Ar resolution was presented for the VOCA and PRO Officer grants to authorize Tim McDaniel, president to act on the Commission's behalf and enter into a contractual agreement with the Division of Justice and Community Services. On a motion by Susie Cvechko and seconded by Phil Hart these resolutions A budget resolution was presented to include the VOCA and PRO Officer grants in the 2017-18 budget. A yearly support agreement for software was presented and discussed from CSS, Inc. in the amount of $21,441.00. They were the only Department to do SO. They also received the Spirit of Collaboration Award. Santilli read the proclamation to name November as the Pancreatic Cancer Awareness Month. J.W. Wyatt discussed the status of the Timber bids at the Fairgrounds. There will be 40 acres timbered. The formal showing will be held on November 14 at 8:00 am. The bid due date is December 4 at 4:00 Tammy Narog provided a report on the Community Corrections program. She noted 7 major projects in She also mentioned their Toy Drive project lasting until December 2. Toys willl be collected and The Philip Barbour Band submitted their annual contribution request in the amount of $500.00. The Commission also approved a contribution to the Football team, $500 and Volleyball, $250 for travel expenses to their state tournaments. Discussions were held on an Animal Cruelty Tim McDaniel reported that currently there are Community Correction participants serving their community services hours at the kennel through the week and a paid Community Correction participant November 16 is 'Going Purple' day. pm. Phill Hart met with Thrasher Engineering regarding the Laurel Dam Project. A meeting is to be organized Susie Cvechko has concerns on the water loss with Chestnut Ridge PSD. Discussions were held. Connie Kaufman reported the employee Christmas Dinner will be held on December 11. Discussion were held regarding adding a fulltime Deputy to allow for more coverage. The Civil Service purchase was approved. with Austin Caperton, DEP Director to discuss the project. exam is being organized. A six month budget review will be scheduled with the Elected Officials. The next regular meeting will be held on December 4, 2017 at 5:00 pm. The following final settlements were approved on a motion by Phil Hart and seconded by Susie Cvechko.
