Nancy Dotson presented a proclamation to declare November as the National Hospice and Palliative Barbour County Economic Development Authority submitted a participation and cooperation resolution fort their 2023-24 LED grant program, with a commitment of $30,000 from the County Commission. On a motion by. Jamie Carpenter and seconded David Strait, this resolution was Mrs. Wolfe provided an update on Prodigi Broadband project. Prodigi was awarded a $7 million grant that will serve 803 households from Preston County to almost Belington; Route 381 to Dan Town Bridge; Valley Furnace to Tucker County line. The grant agreement has been executed and they received a Notice to Proceed. Terry Gould, Hodgesville PSD, requested support for a Murphy Station water extension project to Auvil Road that would serve 61 families and potentially 14 more. Following discussion, David Strait made a motion to contribute $49,910.00 from Coal Reallocation funds; Jedd Schola seconded and passed unanimously. Further discussion was held. Liberty Community Building, Nestorville Community Building, Tacy Community Building, Talbott Community Building, Union Community Building; along with the necessary budget revision. 3/0 Discussion was held regarding eligible uses and reporting Bryan Kilgore provided information about the Fraternal Order of Police Seneca Trail Lodge #104 Christmas initiative.
