Madison County Board of Elections Absentee Meeting Minutes November 2, 2020  The Madison County Board of Elections met on Tuesday, November 2, 2020. In attendance: Jerry Wallin, Chair; Ray! Lewis, Secretary; Dyatt Smathers, Member; Sandra Tolley, Member; Brian Ball,  Member; Jacob Ray, Deputy Director; and one member oft the public.  CalltoOrder:  Chair' Wallin called the meeting to order at 5:001 p.m.  Minutes Approval: meeting minutes. Members Reports: larger venues. venues.  Motion, Second (DS, jw) and Carried (5,0) to approve the October 30, 2020 absentee session  Member Smathers complimented the move: from Room 26 and the Mars Hill Public Library to the Member Ball reported that hel has also received positive feedbackregarding: the use of the larger Member Smathers complimented the professional cleaning services at the polling sites. Member Ball requested public comments be moved to precede the Director' Report. Public Comment:  A volunteer with Democracy NC commented that hel has been assigned tol Madison County for the canvass meeting and decided to attend the absentee meeting and seel how thej process works. The Board: recorded the ending ballot count of 1,693 ballots and sealed the machine for storage.  Other Matters:  The certified lists of Executed Absentee Ballots were prepared for thej precincts and distributed  among Board members for delivery to the Chiefjudges.
