Madison County Board of Elections  Meeting Minutes  Regular Session - March 20, 2019  The Madison County Board of Elections met on Wednesday, March 20, 2019 int thel Board of Elections Office, Room 16. In attendance: Jerry' Wallin, Chair; Rayl Lewis, Secretary; Dyatt Smathers, Member; Sandra Tolley, Member; Brian Ball, Member; Kathy Ray, Director; and Wade Gahagan, Deputy Director.  CalltoOrder: Agenda:  Chair Wallin called the meeting to order at 3:00 p.m.  Moved, Seconded (RL, DS) and Carried (5,0) to approve the agenda.  Minutes:  Moved, Seconded (ST,BB) and Carried (5,0) to approve the March 1, 2019 meeting minutes.  Chair's Report:  Chair Wallin updated the Board ont the current status ofthel Photo ID Law.  Member's Reports:  Member Smathers reported on the agenda for the upcoming NCADE Conference. He also expressed Member Ball expressed concerns to the Board over potential complications ofal longer ballot style and the potential for voter fatigue. He offered several suggestions to the Board for polll booth purchase.  gratitude the conference wasi inl Hickory.  Director's Report:  No budget report was currently available for February 28, 2019.  The Director provided the Board with the: submitted: 2019-2020 fiscal year budget proposal. The Director provided an update on thej purchase of new voting equipment.  The Director provided an update on the 2010 Precinct Project, Photo IDI Requirements, and State The Director requested the Board provide input on the required two Photo ID seminars to occur between May 1 and September 1, 2019. After discussion, the Board requested the Director to donate the carts to the Madison County Public School The Board witnessed a demonstration oft the PrintElect Voter's Choice Classic Voting Booth.. Thel Board reviewed the municipal election agreements received from the Town ofHot Springs and the Moved, Seconded (ST, DS) and Carried (5,0) to approve the municipal election agreements from the  Town ofH Hot Springs and the Town of Marshall.  Other Matters:  Thel Deputy Director provided the Board with an updated 2019 Election Calendar.
