In attendance were 5 members oft the public; Dyatt F. Smathers, Chair; Ray] Lewis, Secretary; Jerry Wallin, Member; Kathy Ray, Director; and Wade Gahagan, Deputy Director. CHAIR'S REPORT Chair Smathers informed that State Board ofl Elections Director Kim Strach recommended that counties delay Canvass until the Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) research could be completed for voters who claimed tol have made an Moved, Seconded (JW, RL) and Carried (3,0) to recess the canvass meeting until 2:00 p.m. on Monday, November attempt to register to vote through the DMV. 21,2016. The meeting recessed at 11:16: a.m. The meeting reconvened at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, November 21, 2016. Thus thel Board could proceed with approving canvassing the election results. Moved, Seconded (RL,JW) and Carried (3,0) to approve the agenda. The Chair informed that the DMV research had been completed and affected no Madison County provisional voters. AGENDA NEW BUSINESS Thel Director reviewed the reconciliation reports and the unofficial Block Style Canvass Report. Moved, Seconded (RL, JW) and Carried (3,0) to approve the election results. The Board recessed at 2:15 p.m. to allow the staff time to create the proper canvass documents. The final ASCII file was created and uploaded to the Election Night Reporting software. The Certified Abstract of] Election Results, the official Block Style Canvassl Report, the County Canvass Precinct Report, and the County Canvass Contest Report were created and signed.
