Chair's Report: Chair' Wallin announced the appointment of Karen Brinson Bell ast thel North Carolina State Board of Elections Executive Director. Member's Reports: Director's Report: Member Smathers provided a health update for Board Secretary Ray Lewis. Director Ray provided the April 30, 2019 budget report. The budget amendment request to move $16,000 in funds from Salaries Temp to Capital Equipment for the purchase oft the security carts has Thel Director provided a voting equipment update and cost projections for ADA equipment options. She commented that Henderson County Board of Elections had only one one-stop site during the 2018 General Election and questioned whether one site was user friendly for all the voters across that county. She inquired if poll workers would be allowed to assist voters with the new voting equipment.
