MADISON COUNTY BOARD OF ELECTIONS Board of Elections Conference Room  ABSENTEE SESSION May 17, 2022 5:00 P.M.  MINUTES CALL TO ORDER  Chair Wallin called the meeting of the Madison County Board of Elections to order at 2:00 p.m. In attendance were Jerry' Wallin, Chair; Ray Lewis, Secretary; Dyatt Smathers, Member; Sandra Tolley  via telephone; Jacob Ray, Director; and one member of the public.  Call to Order:  Chair Wallin called the meeting to order at 2:00 p.m.  Members Reports:  Member Smathers provided an update on precincts he visited and informed the board that Walnut's Chief Judge Coleson Garrett would bej joining the military and will be unavailable to serve during the Motion (DS, JW) to tabulate the one-stop and absentee mail-in ballots and the motion passed  November Election. (3-0).  Ballot Tabulation and Reporting:  The voting equipment was reconciled with the chains of custody and results tapes were produced. Motion (DS, JW) to recess the meeting until 6:00 p.m. and the motion passed (3-0). Motion to return to open session (JW, DS) and the motion passed (3-0) The abstract of absentee results was created and signed by the Board Members.
