Madison County Board of Elections Meeting Minutes - Regular Session April 19th, 2022 The Madison County Board of Elections held their regularly scheduled meeting on Tuesday, April 19th, 2022, at Suite E, Room 16, 5707 US 25-70 Hwy, Marshall, 28753. In attendance: Jerry Wallin, Chair; Ray Lewis, Secretary; Dyatt Smathers, Member; Brian Ball, Member; Sandra Tolley, Member (Via Telephone); Jacob Ray, Director; and Elizabeth Madorin, Deputy Director. Call to Order: Chair Wallin called the meeting to order at 2:45 p.m. Minutes: Motion (BB, DS) to approve March 16th Regularly Scheduled Meeting Minutes. Agenda: passed (5-0). Motion to approve the agenda as amended to add to Other Matters: Beech Glen Senior Meal site discussion. Motion New Business Motion passed (5-0) passed (5-0). passed (5-0). Director presented the CleanWorks contract for Addison Farms Vineyard. Motion (DS, RL) to approve as presented. Director presented updated poll worker list. Motion (DS, JW) to approve poll worker assistants as presented. Motion Director presented updated judge list. Motion (DS, JW) to appoint Harold "Kent" Self as Laurel Republican Judge. Motion Motion (JW, DS) to promote Doris Capps to Democrat Judge for the Primary Election. Motion passed (5-0) Director's Report: 2022. Director reported on the completion ofl L&A testing and the Mock Election that was conducted the week of April 11, Director updated the Board on poll worker training. Virtual training will be paid up to ten hours. New judges will have an additional training session in-person. Other Matters: passed (5-0). Motion (DS,JW) to have One-Stop operations do not impede meal site operations during the early voting period. Motion Member Smathers reported on the budget meeting that he and the director attended.
