Moved, Seconded (RL, JW) and Carried (3,0) to approve the October 18, 2016 Absentee and Madison County IT Coordinator Phil Presnell reported the results oft the North Carolina State Board of Elections security scan that was conducted on the local Board of Elections network. The Coordinator isv working with State Board of Elections IT staff to ensure the network and server is secure. Mr. Presnell finalized his report by assuring the Board that the IT Department will be available to the Closed Meeting Sessions. Board on Election Day. NEW BUSINESS Moved, Seconded (RL, JW) and Carried (3,0) to approve 1878 One Stop Absentee Applications Moved, Seconded (RL, JW) and Carried (3,0) to approve 3 military absentee applications (see Moved, Seconded (RL, JW) and Carried (3,0) to approve 5 overseas absentee applications (see Moved, Seconded (RL, JW) and Carried (3,0) to approve 51 civilian absentee applications (see Moved, Seconded (RL, JW) and Carried (3,0) to duplicate absentee ballots: MIL-15 and OVR-26 (Federal Write In Ballots), and electronically transmitted ballots OVR-15, OVR-14, OVR-12, MIL- 6, and OVR-1.
