Madison County Board of Elections Meeting Minutes - Special Session/Budget  February 4th, 2022  The Madison County Board of Elections held a special/ budget meeting on Friday, February 4th, 222. at Suite E, Room 16,5707 US25-701 Hwy, Marshall, 28753. In attendance: Jerry' Wallin, Chair; Ray Lewis, Secretary; Dyatt Smathers,  Member;. Jacob Ray, Director; and Elizabeth Madorin, Deputy Director.  Call to Order:  Chair' Wallin called the meeting to order at 9:00 a.m.  Members' Report:  Member Smathers reported on vandalism that occurred at the! Sandy Mush Precinct Building. The Director and Deputy Director met with Member Smathers, Chair Wallin, and! Security & Support Technician. John Noce on Tuesday, February 1stt to discuss duplicate and potential dupliçate voters in Madison County. Member Smathers and the Director  summarized the meeting for the board. Budget Fiscal Year 2022-2023: The following actions weret taken:  The Director presented budget worksheets to the board for review.  Increase the salary oft the Director and Deputy. Director by 3% (DS,JW) motion and carried (3,0). Set the board member expenses line item to $23,400 and raise board member compensation by 25 dollars per month. Any member who becomes state certified would receive an additional raise of 25 dollars. (DS,JW) Set the temporary office staff/One-Stop workers' pay rate to $14.00 an hour (JW, DS) motion and carried (3,0). Set the flat rate of Chief. Judge to! $300.00/ day, Judges to $250.00/day, and Election Day Assistants to $225.00/  motion and carried (3,0).  day. (JW, DS) motion and carried (3,0).  Set the line-item License Coding for Elections to! $13,200 (DS, JW) motion and carried (3,0). The Director will make the adjustments to the budget worksheets and submit to the Finance Office.  Other Matters:  Potential security measures were discussed for the Sandy Mush Precinct Building.  A voter would like an explanation of the Precinct Boundary changes that occurred in 2014.
