Madison County Board ofElections Absentee Meeting Minutes November 3, 2020  The Madison County Board of Elections met on Tuesday, November 3, 2020. In attendance: Jerry Wallin, Chair; Ray Lewis, Secretary; Dyatt Smathers, Member; Sandra Tolley, Member; Brian Ball, Member; Kathy Ray, Director; Jacob Ray, Deputy Director; and one member ofthe public.  Call to Order:  Chair Wallin called the meeting to order at 2:00 p.m.  Chair Wallin entered a challenge against 3 absentee ballots. The challenged voters will be notified and the challenges willl bel heard att the 11:00 a.m. canvass meeting on Friday, November 13, 2020. Motion, Seconded (W, DS) and Carried (5,0) to tabulate the one stop and absentee mail in  ballots.  BallotTabulation and Reporting:  The voting equipment was reconciled with the chains of custody and results tapes were produced. The abstract of absentee results was created and signed by the Board members. The absentee results were uploaded to thel North Carolina State Board of Elections (NCSBE) Motion, Seconded QW, DS) and Carried (5,0) to recess the meeting until 7:30 p.m. Motion, Seconded OW, DS) and Carried (5,0) to return to open session.
