Cool and dry has been the prevalent pattern, but we hope to break that with some precipitation this weekend. This has allowed the paving operations to be completed on the mountain. We hope to get the line striping completed next week before much cooler weather arrives. We are still working closely with Mountain Electric as they complete new power line installation in the Mossy Creek Briarcliff areas. This is going to require the repaving oft the entire section of roadway leading to the Slopesider section of Briarcliff Road. The new line was installed in the center of the roadway so they could keep the current utilities online while this process took place. The Mossy Creek section is complete to Moss Ridge Road, with the remaining area to be completed being on that street and connecting with Briarcliff via Slopeview Road. Is sincerely hope that they are completed before ski season arrives. Our crew is also working on another structure at the maintenance facility. This small, covered garage will house the salt spreaders and snowplows in their off season and will provide cover for our tractors in the winter months. Itis such al blessing to be able to construct these buildings in-house with talented employees. The golf course continues to have a wonderful season. It is as beautiful for this time of year that I have ever seen. We have hosted several tournaments over the last few weeks and will continue to do SO the rest of September. High Country Home Builders Assoc. is on the course today, and HEART- Wings Air Rescue will be on the 27th. These are 2 of our largest events of the season with full fields in both tournaments. Our Annual Sugar Mountain Classic was a huge success with our Ladies champion defending her title from last year's event, and the men's champion is from our local area and played an unbelievable round on Sunday shooting an even par 64 to win by one stroke. Ifanyone has any questions or comments, please do not hesitate to contact us. Respectfully submitted, Bill Daniels, Village Maintenance Director
