Call to Order 2. Adoption of Agenda vote was5 5-0.  Bill Bayless Jesse McQueen Eddie Martin Oscar Sellers Maurice Stuart Abbie Covington Matthew Christian Gail Strickland  Mayor Bayless called the meeting to order at! 5:32.  Council Member Covington motioned to adopt the Agenda. Council Member Stuart provided the: second. The  3. Motion to go into Closed Session per NC General Statute $143-318-11(a) (6) Personnel  At! 5:33 pm, Mayor Bayless asked for a motion to goi into Closed: Session and stated the Statute. Council Member McQueen provided the motion and Council Member Sellers offered the second. The vote was 5-0. At 6:34 pm Council Members Covington and Stuart motioned to return to Open Session. The vote was 5-0. Council Member Covington motioned to give a pay increase to City Manager Matt Christian, increasing his annual salary to $90,000.00. Council Member Martin provided the second.
