MINUTES  SCHUYLKILL HAVEN BOROUGH REORGANIZATION: MEETING  DATE: TIME: PLACE: ATTENDING:  January 2, 2024 6:30 p.m.  Council Chambers, 250 Parkway  Council members Kurt Montz, Jerry Bowman, Tom Gordon, Diane Roeder, John Williams, and. Jesse Kavanaugh. Also present were Mayor Devlin, Administrator Seiders, Solicitor Semanchick and! Secretary Tinari. Councilman Dress and JCP Mayor Devlin administered the oath of office to the newly elected council members Jerry Bowman, Tom Gordon, Diane Roeder, and Donald Dress prior to Ati this time the newly elected Council members took their seats at the Council Mayor Devlin called the meeting to order at 6:30 pm followed by a payer and Mayor Devlin asked for nominations for the Office of President. Jerry Bowman Mayor Devlin asked ift there were any other nominations. There being none, On unanimous voice vote. Jerry Bowman wast the newly elected Council  Bauer was absent.  OATH OF OFFICE:  the meeting due to absence.  table.  CALL TO ORDER: NOMINATIONS:  the pledge of allegiance.  was nominated for President by Montz. nominations were closed.  President.  President Jerry Bowman than asked for nominations for Vice President. Thomas President. Jerry Bowman asked for any other nominations. There being none, On unanimous voice vote Thomas Gordon was elected' Vice President. On motion of Montz/Roeder Council reenacted all Borough taxes. On motion of Roeder/Montz Council reappointed Kaitlyn Tinari as Borough  Gordon was nominated for Vice President by Montz.  nominations were closed.  OTHER BUSINESS:  Secretary.    On motion of Montz/Roeder Council reappointed Ashley Bieski as Borough Onr motion of Roeder/Montz Council appointed. Jessica Seiders as Borough On motion of Montz/Gordon Council reappointed Michael Paulin as Borough On motion of Montz/Gordon Council reappointed Mark Semanchick as Borough Onr motion of Roeder/Montz Council reappointed Entech Engineering as the On motion of Montz/Roeder Council reappointed Utility Engineers as the On motion of Roeder/Gordon Council appointed First Citizens Community Bank At 6:39pm Council adjourned the reorganization meeting and entered  Treasurer. ADMINISTRATION: With the recent election results Donald Dress accepted the 4 year term seat and  declined the 2 year term seat. Council declared a vacancy for a 2 year term seat. On motion of Gordon/Montz council appointed John Williams to filli the vacant 2 Solicitor Semanchik gave an update on the publicauction for 203-205 Center Avenue, on motion of Montz/Gordon Council approved the highest bid in the  year term seat.  amount of $20,000 for the property.  Council tabled the WeLink. Agreement till next meeting.  On motion of Roeder/Gordon Council approved a notice to terminate: a Borough All of Council welcomed the newly elected council members, president and vice  Employee. president.  OTHER BUSINESS:  CITIZEN COMMENTS: None  EXECUTATIVE SESSION: There was an executive session held at 6:15pm before the regular council  meeting. Property and Personnel were discussed. Also attending was Mayor Devlin, Solicitor Semanchik, Administrator Seiders and Secretary Tinari. Member Kavanaugh and. JCP Bauer President. Jerry Bowman called the meeting to order at 6:30 pm with the pledge  were absent.  CALLTOORDER:  of allegiance followed by a prayer.  CITIZEN COMMENTS: None  MINUTES: TAX COLLECTOR:  The minutes of the December 6th and December 20" meetings was approved on The Tax Colector'sreport in the amount of $9,389 was approved on motion of  motion of Montz/Roeder. Montz/Williams.  TREASURER'S RPT: Ashley Bieski, Treasurer, presented Council with the December 2023 Treasurers'  report. On motion of Roeder/Montz Council approved this report. The following bills were approved for payment on motion of MontzWilliams General $293,331.98; Electric $405,197.49; Water $141,738.47 Sewer  BILLS:  $114,690.92 for ai total of $954,958.86  CORRESPONDENCE: None  ADMINISTRATION: On motion of Roeder/Montz Council approved the December transfers.  On motion of Montz/Gordon Council approved the December highway aid On motion of Montz/Roeder Council approved to open a new bank account at On motion of Montz/Roeder Council approved to allow the Tax Collector to turn  transfers.  FCCB for community garden.  over unpaid taxes toi the Tax Claim Bureau. Council tabled the WeLink. Agreement till next meeting.  OLD BUSINESS:  None.    NEW BUSINESS; OTHER BUSINESS:  None.  President Bowman questioned about 119 Parkway.  Vice President Gordon: stated that the borough did a great job with snow Member Montz questioned about the property on Center Avenue.
