1-  EAST BERLIN BOROUGH COUNCIL  128 Water Street East Berlin, PA 17316  Zoning Ordinance Text Amendment Hearing Conversion Apartments within the Commercial District  Call to Order: Hearing number two oft two for the Zoning Ordinance Text Amendment commenced with the Pledge of Allegiance at 6:45 PM: led by Chris Warner Council President on Wednesday, February 14, 2024, at Members Present: Chris Warner, Roberta Teal, Judy Salomon, Gregery Green, Heather Gentzler, and  the East Berlin Borough Hall. Mayor Stephanie Haley Members Absent: Robert Larson  Also Present: Solicitor Matthew Battersby and Adminstmator/esurer Cindy Smith  Approval of Agenda: Roberta Teal motioned approval, second by Gregery Green. Motion carried. Objective: Solicitor Battersby stated that as dually advertised the Hearing was held for the proposed Zoning Ordinance Text Amendment of Conversion Apartments within the Commercial District. He acknowledged receipt oft the Adams County Office of Planning and Development Review letter(s) dated November 15, 2023 from Robert Thaeler, Principal Planner, having no objective to said Text Amendment. Additionally, the East Berlin Planning Commission recommending approval of said text amendment. As noted, and advertised, this was the second oftwo hearings. The first being held on December 13, 2023.  Guests /Constituents present: Public Comment:  Brenda Zittle, Michael Zittle, D.O., Brian Berkheimer, Jim Hersh  Brian Burkheimer Realtor with Keller Williams Real-Estate representing an effected property owned by  Dr. Zittle. Mr. Burkheimer spoke in support and favor of the Zoning update.  Closure  Roberta Teal motioned to adjourn the meeting at 6:53 PM, second by Heather Gentzler. Motion carried.
