Parker  1847 MERVILLE  @  TOWN of SUMMERVILLE SPECIAL COUNCIL MEETING  June 3, 2024  ATTENDANCE  Present: Mayor Russ Touchberry, Councilmembers Kima Garten-Schmidt, Bob Jackson, Aaron Brown, Tiffany Johnson-Wilson (left at 2:20pm), Matt Halter (arrived 10:45am), and Richard G. Waring, IV. Also in attendance were Town Administrator Lisa Wallace, Town. Attorney GW Parker, and Town Clerk Beth Messervy. A quorum was met. Public and press were duly notified. The meeting took place in Council Chambers at 200 South Main Street, Summerville,  SC.  CALL1 TOORDER  Mayor Touchberry called the meeting to order at 8:45am on Monday, June 3, 2024.  FIRST READING OF ORDINANCE  Mr. Waring made ai motion, seconded by Mr. Jackson, to give first reading to an ordinance to amend Chapter 6 - Building and Building Regulations; Article II; Division 2- Construction and Code Board of Adjustments and Appeals; Section 6-61, to allow, in addition to citizens, those individuals who own al business and/orreal property or individuals with a unanimous vote of Council, to serve as a member of the Construction and Code. Board of Adjustments and Appeals.  The motion carried 6-0. Mr. Halter was not present for the vote.  EXECUTIVE SESSION:  Mr. Waring made. a motion, seconded by Ms. Garten-Schmidt, to enter: into Executive Session to  interview candidates for the Town Administrator position.  The motion carried, and Council entered into Executive Session at 8:48am.  Council reconvened at 4:00pm. Town Attorney GW Parker stated that Council met in Executive Session toi interview candidates for the Town Administrator position and that no action was taken  inl Executive Session.
