DLEYPAR  AAIEO Ridley Park Borough Council Workshop Session March7,2017  Welcome  The Ridley Park Borough Council met in Workshop Session on the above date in Council Chambers of Ridley Park Borough Hall with Council President Bob Berger presiding. The meeting was called to order at 7:03 PM.  Pledge of Allegiance  Mayor Eberle led the reciting of the Pledge of Allegiance.  Roll Call  Councilor Jared Brennan -L Late Councilor Dan Broadhurst - Present Councilor Michele Endriss-Dalessio - Present Councilor Mike Gale - Present Councilor. Jim Glenn Present Council Vice President Samantha Snow-Present Mayor Hank Eberle - Present Council President Bob Berger-Present Mayor's Report (Honorable Hank Eberle)  Update on hiring process for part-time police, with swearing in at the March regular council meeting. He stated that at  the regular meeting he willl be discussing colon cancer: and his personal experience with this.  Committee Reports  Planning and Zoning (Councilor Mike Gale)  Planning Commission = Met 02/22/2017. No new or old business, but the Commission did discuss SORA  Code- - Mike Gale will read the report for month of February.  Public Safety (Councilor Jim Glenn)  Police: Chief Frazier will provide monthly report at Regular meeting, Fire: Karen Duncan will provide monthly report at Regular meeting. Board of Health: will provide monthly report at Regular meeting.    Emergency Management will provide monthly report at Regular meeting.  Communications (Councilor Jared Brennan)  Telecommunications will provide monthly report at Regular meeting. Cable franchise fees will provide monthly report at Regular meeting.  Seniors, no report - 35th anniversary lunch for the senior group will be Thursday March 23-d at noon. will provide  monthly report at Regular meeting.  Community Resources (Vice President Samantha Snow) Recreation Board: will provide monthly report at Regular meeting Recycling/Trash: will provide monthly report at Regular meeting School Board: will provide monthly report at Regular meeting Parks and Property (Councilor Shellie Endriss--Dalessio) Highway Department: clean-up and grass season Ridley Park Business Association: Gearing upi for Easter Egg Hunt Ridley Park Athletic Club: Softball and Baseball tryouts Public Relations (Councilor Dan Broadhurst)  Shade Tree Committee: Meeting next Monday, willl have report for March regular meeting. Library Board: will provide monthly report at Regular meeting. Pancake Breakfast. Historical Commission: will provide monthly report at Regular meeting. Historical Society: will provide monthly report at Regular meeting. H.A.R.B. Committee: will provide monthly report at Regular meeting.  Finance and Personnel (President Berger)  Finance: will provide monthly report at Regular meeting. GON 2007 Refinance  Contracts:: will provide monthly report at Regular meeting and wants to discuss the trash contract that is up at the end  of 2017.  Main Streets of Ridley Park  CDCA: will provide monthly report at Regular meeting. Grants: will provide monthly report at Regular meeting.  Borough Manager report:: : will provide monthly report at Regular meeting.  Administrative Reports Action Items  -Motion to accept the February 24, 2017 lease financing proposal of M&T Bank for the purchase of a police vehicle, subject the execution of a mutually acceptable lease agreement and all other necessary documents as approved by the borough solicitor. The motion was made by President Berger and second by Mr. Glenn. Mr. Brennan asked which car this -Motion to appoint Danielle Staccone as the Borough Secretary. The motion was made by Mr. Glenn and second by Mrs.  was, Mr. Glenn responded that it was the Ford Explorer.  Dalessio. With no other questions from Council, the motion passed unanimously.    -Motion to approve payment for new leaf collection machine from the Capital Reserve fund in the amount of $197,442.75, pursuant to 8Pa. C.S.A. $1202, Subsection 22. The motion was made by President Berger and: second by  Mr. Broadhurst. With no other questions from Council, the motion passed unanimously.  Old Business  Mr. Broadhurst gave an update on a meeting he held with SORA and business owners.  New Business  -Council executive session to discuss borough personnel  Motion to adjourn for Executive by Mr. Bob Berger second by Mr. Jim Glenn.
