ASSISTANT CITY MANAGER ACTION ITEMS: MINOR LAND SUBDIVISION- 143 LORAIN ST Jerry Thomas of. Jerry Thomas Land Surveying has submitted ai minor subdivision lot merge application on behalfofE Barry and Nicole Gorzelsky. The application merges parts of three parcels together to create a better conforming lot in an R1 zoning district. REZONING REQUEST -1 134IOLITEAVE Darlene Riblett of1 134 Iolite Ave has requested the rezoning oftwo parcels that make up 134 Iolite. Ave (Tax Map # 81-015. -104.000 & 81-015.-103.000). The property is currently zoned R2. The request is that the property be rezoned as M3 sO that the properties may be sold to Loaded and Locked Self Storage LLC located adjacent to the properties at 1461 Iolite Ave. The properties would then be used to expand the property and facilities of146 Iolite. OLD BUSINESS: IMPROVEMENTS TO: ZONING MAPS a. The EADS group has conducted an extensive search for modern GIS zoning maps and has not found any items. A quote has been sought from EADS for the creation for such a map. PUBLIC SAFETY BUILDING NEEDS ASSESSMENT a. Assistant City Manager Ashcom has created a second memo to City Council on behalfo of the Commission recommending that a needs assessment be conducted for the Public Safety Building. It will bei included ini their October 2023 meeting packets. b. City staff1 have recommended Planning Commission be given a tour of the Public Safety Building to identify issues within the building. Planning Commission is asked toj pick possible dates for a1 tour. COMPREHENSIVE PLAN a. Planning Commission items for the Comprehensive Plan have been submitted to the City Manager. The RFP is expected to be drafted over the fall/winter of2023. Planning Commission will receive the opportunity to review the RFP before it is distributed. Itis recommended that the Commission continue discussions on RFP topics. ZONING EXAMINATIONS: WOODVALE a. Planning Commission has expressed interest in examining the zoning designations of various City neighborhoods to recommend improvements parallel to the anticipated new Comprehensive Plan. The first neighborhood to be discussed is Woodvale.
