Attorney  MINUTES OF' THE PUBLICHEARINGII September 6, 2023 6:00 p.m. 215 McNaughton St PRESENT:  Charles Coffey, Chairman Timothy Biddle, Vice-Chairman Gerald Douglas, Commissioner Damon Hoyte, Commissioner Jason Hoyte, Commissioner  Kenneth Riner, County Manager Lisa Bickel, County Clerk  Upon the manager's calling the: roll, with all Commission members present, Chairman Coffey called the Public Hearing IIIC oft the Commission ofthe Unified Government of Cusseta- Commissioner Coffey and all Commissioners present. With two of the publici in attendance. CHAIRMAN COFFEY stated that the millage rate would be staying the same. as the previous year, which was 8.502. Thati ift there was an increase ini taxes it was due to an appraisal value increase, he also noted that the school went down from last year to 17.010. He stated that the news article was misleading about the tax increase and wanted the public tol be aware oft this.  Chattahoochee County, Georgia to order at 6:00 p.m..  After waiting sometime and no one showing, public forum was closed.  COMMENTS BY COMMISSIONERS:  COMMISSIONER HOYTE stated that our county still had thel lowest tax rates ini the state of COMMISSIONER BIDDLE mentioned that the value of properties went up due to the revaluation that was done this year. The county hasn't! had ai revaluation in several years and a lot ofareasi in the county were due for one this year and those that didn't get done will be  Georgia, if not the lowest. revalued next year. ADJOURNMENT:  AI Motion was made to adjourn the meeting. Commissioner Frost made the Motion, seconded by Chairman Douglas. The vote to adjourn the meeting was unanimous.
