Noted that the Commissioners attended a state and local public leader forum meeting atl Newmont Mine to discuss the status oft the sale oft the mine and the future of the Hev will attend the upcoming quarterly meeting for the Central Front Range mine. Transportation Committee. Mr. Williams: Commented on how great the turnout was for the' Teller County Fair and how nice it was to see all the 4-H kids and families that came out to support the Fair. Discussed his strong opposition tol Ballot Initiative 91 that would ban hunting mountain lions and bobcats because it disregards science-based information wildlife Hel has attended multiple HOA meetings and a Wildfire Council meeting regarding the fire bans and provided ai reminder that the Stage IE Fire Ban is still in effect. Commented on code enforcement and noted that there are 180 active cases in Teller Announced that on Tuesday, August 13, there willl be a public meeting at the' Teller County Sheriff's Office regarding shooting inl Pikel National Forest. Jenkins, Teller County resident, commented on Code Enforcement and his concerns that some people can'tafford to fix their properties, and asked ift the County Mr. Williams responded and explained that the County's goal is compliance and that the Mr. Stone responded to claims that Code Enforcement is "harassment" and explained that the Codel Enforcement Officer works hard to get compliance. The County is working on ai fund toj pay for the cleanup and abatement if necessary but that this this results in liens on those properties. The goal for Codel Enforcement is tol be respectful, but firm on compliance. Mr. Campbell comments on the Code Enforcement goal of compliance. 4. Administration: Consider a resolution approving the grant agreement with the State Board of the Great Outdoors Colorado' Trust Fund for a Community Impact Grant for the completion of the Florissant Community Park Improvements. will pay to clean up properties. BoCC: Consider a resolution calling an election for the voters in' Teller County to Mr. Stone explained thei reasons for this resolution regarding the County Coroner and the next resolution regarding the Surveyor. Both of these offices require special training and skills. Fewer individuals are trained and have the experience to be a Coroner or Surveyor and term limits could prevent qualified people from running for these offices. Mr. Stone also explained that neither oft the current officer holders for Coroner and Surveyor requested this ballot measure and that there is noj plan to have ballot measures to eliminate term limits for eliminate the term limits for the' Teller County Coroner.
