A. Call to Order Mayor Bilski called the meeting to order at 6:00 p.m. B.I Invocation and Pledges of Allegiance Councilwoman Curry gave the Invocation and Mayor Bilski led the Pledges of Allegiance. Discussion and Possible Action regarding Austin County Emergency Communication District's Annual Budget for Fiscal Year 2024-2025. Amotion was made by Councilwoman Lerma to Approve the Austin County Emergency Communication District's Annual Budget for Fiscal Year 2024-2025 Councilwoman Curry seconded the motion. Discussion and Possible Action regarding a Joint Election Agreement from Austin County to allow Early Voting and Election Day voting at the W. E. Hill Community Center for the 2024 Election year (Week 1: Monday, October 21, 2024, thru Friday, October 25, 2024; 9:00 a.m. - 6:00 p.m., Saturday, October 26, 2024; 9:00 a.m. = 3:00 p.m.; Week 2: Monday, October 28, 2024 thru Friday, November 1, 2024; 9:00 a.m. - 6:00 p.m.) No action was taken. 3. Discussion and Possible Action regarding a Contract for Election Services between Austin County and the City of Sealy for the November 5, 2024 Election. No action was taken. 4. Discussion and Possible Action to Adopt a Fitness for Duty Policy. Amotion was made by Councilwoman Lerma to table this Item. Councilman Zapalac seconded the motion. Mayor Bilski called for the vote. Discussion and Possible Action to Approve, Disapprove, or Approve with Conditions a Variance Application for Two Variances for 604 N Meyer Street to change the use of the lot from Single-Family Residential to Commercial. a) Section 28-70 (a) The front building line shall not be less than 25 feet, except that where a lot faces an arterial street, the front building line shall not be less than 35 feet. The Front of the existing building is 16.9 feet from the right-of-way b) Section 28-70 (g) No commercial building line shall be less than 25 feet on a side that abuts an existing single-family residential lot which does not have an existing place of business located on such single-family residential lot. The side of the existing building is 16.6 feet from the property line of the abutting line of Highway 36 (Meyer Street). single-family residential lot. Discussion and Possible Action regarding Resolution for the Criminal Justice An motion was made by Councilwoman Lerma to Approve the Resolution for the Criminal Councilman Burttschell seconded the motion.
