CITYOEBOWIEPARKS BOARD MEETING MINUTES/UIY2.2024  Attendance:  Chairperson Margin! Latham (Facilitator), Michael Eichler, Clyde. Johnson, Bonnie Kinder,  Janice Blahuta, Jennifer Clark  Called to Order:  Margin called the meeting to order at 5:30PM.  Approval of Minutes:  Margin entertains a motion to approve minutes of June 20, 2024, Michael moved to approve  the minutes, Jennifer seconded.  Finance:  Financial statements have been handed out and reviewed. All agree with these.  OLD BUSINESS:  Veterans Park: Margin says shei is looking for ways to make this more inviting. Itis suggested tor rope off the area and puts some plants. Another idea to puts small signs around in different places directing to the area. Clyde says he will put a chaira ati the site. Margin says we need to seei if wateri is available, get low maintenance plants. Jennifer suggests to geti int touch with High School. Agl Teacher, Eric King, he might be able to get the students involved to take care of Report From AlL Parks: Bonnie says she has looked into playground equipment, cost $100,000. She says they meet all the safety guidelines. This does noti include installation. Sign at Southside Park: Bonnie says the sign has been made, waiting oni installation. Resurfacing of Pelham Park' Tennis Court: Michael says he has met with the Mayor and said get the resurfacing done atj proposed pickle ball court at Pelham Park. Clyde will bring al bench for1 thata area. Gaylynn will get with electrician to get stronger lights ati the court. Clyde will call Jay and ask him to look at the electricity. We will have a report on this in August. Washer & Dryer: Bonnie says the pair, Whirlpool is $1300. Bonnie will have 2 plumbers to give Building Across from the Community Center: Bonnie says there are holes ini the surface. Clyde says he will ask Stony what surface would be besti fort that.
