Consideration and possible action regarding Resolution No. 2022-1-1 ordering a the meeting. All visitors will observe ai three-minute time limit. Municipal General Election for May 7, 2022. Mayor Marx read the second paragraph, third paragraph and Section 10 of the Resolution. WHEREAS, the City of THRALL enters into agreements with Williamson County respectively to conduct the City's elections, pursuant to Chapter 31, Tex. Elec. Code, and Chapter 791, Tex. Gov't Code and such agreements provide for political subdivisions that hold elections on the same day in all or part of the same territory to hold joint elections as authorized in Chapter 271, Tex. Elec. WHEREAS, the Williamson County Elections Administrator is designated as the Williamson County Election Officer and the City of THRALL has appointed the Williamson County Election Officer to serve as the City of THRALL's Election Officer and Early Voting Clerk to conduct the City's elections through its election agreement with Williamson County. 10. The City Mayor is authorized to execute contracts for election services with Williamson County and joint election agreements as appropriate for Code. conducting the May 7, 2022 election. Commissioner Walla made a motion to accept Resolution No. 2022-1-1 with the Exhibit "A" and contract to follow from Williamson County with a second by 4.2. Consideration and possible action regarding Ordinance No. 2022-1-2 calling a Special Election to be held in the City of Thrall, Texas, to submit a proposition on the question of the reauthorization of the local sales and use tax in Thrall, Texas, at the rate of one- fourth of one percent to continue providing revenue for maintenance and repair of municipal streets under the V.T.C.A., Tax Code, Chapter 327; and making provision for the conduct of the election and resolving other matters incident and related to such Commissioner Walla made a motion to accept Resolution No. 2022-1-2 pending Exhibit "A" for the Special Election from Williamson County with second by Commissioner Martin.
