FORNEY TEXA MINUTES ARCHITECTURAL REVIEW BOARD MEETING Forney City Hall, 101 East Main Street Forney, TX75126 Tuesday, June 25,2024-6 6:00 p.m.  I.  CALLTOORDER  Director of Community Development Peter Morgan called the meeting to order at 6:02 p.m. Present were board members Christie Conaway, Brennan Dedon, Noman Habib and Brandi Westmoreland. City ofForney staffmembers Peter Morgan and Alex Dixon were present. Board members Richard Cunningham, Belinda Davis, and Richard Hansen were absent.  II. CONSENT ITEMS  1. Consider approval of the April 23,2024, Architectural Review Board meeting minutes. 2. Consider approval of the April 29, 2024, Architectural Review Board meeting minutes. Christie Conaway made a motion to approve consent items 1 and 2. Brennan Dedon seconded  the motion. The motion passed by a vote of4 ayes and 0 nays.  III. PUBLIC HEARINGI ITEMS  1. Hold a Public Hearing and discuss and consider a request for a certificate of appropriateness, in accordance with the Historic Overlay Zone District regulations, for exterior changes (paint, doors, landscaping, fence, signage, lighting) to the property at  413 S. Bois d'Arc Street/107 E. Brooks Street.  Alex Dixon introduced the item. Public hearing was opened at 6:21 p.m. During public comment the applicant, Stephen McKay, and neighbor Charles Beason spoke in favor ofthe request. The public hearing was closed at 6:24 p.m. After a discussion about the details ofthe request, Noman Habib made a motion to approve the item with the following stipulations:  1. An electronic message board sign is acceptable at a maximum 4'3" height and 6'3" 2. The pecan tree in the northeast corner oft the property shall remain. 3. The hackberry tree shall bei removed. Any removal ofaj protected tree must include tree replacement in accordance with City of] Forney requirements. 4. A door design must be approved at a future meeting.  width. Bois d'Arc  Street.  Alex Dixon introduced the item. Public hearing was opened at 6:51 p.m. Daniel Renfroe, representing the applicant, spoke in favor of the request. Public hearing was closed at 6:52 p.m. During discussion the Board stated concern for the appropriateness ofthe design and the proposed exterior colors at the location. The applicant agreed that additional consideration is needed. Public hearing was closed at 6:58 p.m. and Christie Conaway made a motion to table thei request. Brennan Dedon seconded the motion. The motion passed by a vote of4 ayes and 0 3.
