August 1, 2024 The Gorman City Commission held al Public Hearing on1 this date @ 5:15 p.m. to determine whether a building on1 the property is South 100X125 ofl Lot 11 & All of Lot: 12, Block VI, S/D20T of Gorman, commonly known as 333 and 334 S Fisher. Owner Bobby' Wells of Eastland, TX. Action willl be taken in a Regular Open meeting immediately following this public hearing. Bobby' Wells was not ina attendance. Chuck and Cheri Troutman attended the public hearing as they are next door to this property and are very interested in getting it cleaned up and the area made safer, as part of at tree has already fallen on the roof of the smaller house which is being considered for demolition. The public hearing closed at Mayor Perry led the opening prayer followed by the Pledge of Allegiance and the Texas Pledge. She emphasized the work oft the After hearinginformation presented by the code enforcement (Mayor Perry) stating the structure is substandard due to violations of the minimum standards for buildings set forth in City Ordinance No 2020-03-05B Commissioner Ervin made the motion to order the owner to demolish and remove the building within 30 days of the date of this order. The City will demolish the building and assess its expenses for doing so as a lien on the property if the owner does not comply with this order within the Reports were given and or submitted by each department.
