Thei need for large operational funds was emphasized. 1 LAB Secretary/FOIL VPLauren Cortez submitted the following Walmart Grant November 29, 2023: Submitted a $5,000 grant for CPL Summer 2024 Programs. May 1, 2024: Submitted the' "Literacy Lift Off: Youth Reading Programs" grant for $5,000. Status: Pending, with a final decision expected by July 15,2024. Per City Administrator, Thursdays are thel busiest days, requiring at least two volunteers per program to assist designated library staff who manage all programs from 10:00. AM to: 3:001 PM. This ensures youth protection and adequate adult presence, with staff rotation preventing any staff member from being alone for more than three hours at a DND and Magic the Gathering activities are on hold pending thel hiring ofai new Library Director, who will determine ifthese programs will be reimplemented.
