BEASLEY CITY HALL 319 SOUTH3RD ST., BEASLEY, TX 77417  Call to Order: Mayor Kenneth Reid called the meeting to order at 6:30 p.m. Roll Call: Cary Lamensky, Carolyn Sabrsula, Yvonne Meyer, Ernesto DeLeon were Approve minutes from meeting: Yvonne Meyer made the motion to approve the meeting minutes from June 18,2024 as presented. Cary Lamensky seconded the Mayor Announcements: There was no significant damage to the City from Hurricane  all present. Douglas Harris was absent.  motion. Motion Carried.  Beryl. None of the wells or lift stations had any problems.  OLD BUSINESS  A. Discussion on status with City Attorney on Constable's Contract.  a. Discussion ofreaching out again to thel Fort Bend County Attorney,  about the Contract. No action was taken.  NEW: BUSINESS  A. Discussion on law suite status with Playgrounds of Pearland  a. City Secretary informed Council that the suite is moving forward due to no action being taken from Defendant. No action taken from a. August 12th- Publish Public Hearing notice in paper  council.  B. Tax Rate schedule discussion  b. August 15th- 72 Hour notice for meeting to discuss tax rate proposal August 20th, - Meeting of governing body to propose tax rate & Public i. Discussion on due dates for tax rates. No action taken.  Hearing to adopt tax rate  C.D Discussion and possible action on approving the 10/20 year write off of property taxes per Texas Property Tax Code section 33.05 Limitation on a. Cary Lamensky made the motion to approve the 10/20 year write off of property taxes per Texas Property Tax Code section 33.05 Limitation on Collection ofTaxes" in the amount of$573.44. Yvonne Meyer seconded the motion. Motion carried.  Collection ofTaxes" in the amount of $573.44.  1    Financial Report: Yvonne Meyer made the motion to approve the Financial Report as presented.
