City ofl Beasley  MINUTES  REGULAR CITY COUNCIL MEETING TUESDAY-June 18, 2024-6:30P.M. BEASLEY CITY HALL 319SOUTH38D ST., BEASLEY,TX 77417  Call to Order: Mayor Kenneth Reid called the meeting to order at 6:30 p.m. Roll Call: Cary Lamensky, Carolyn Sabrsula, Douglas Harris, Yvonne Meyer, and Approve minutes from meeting: Douglas Harris made the motion to approve the meeting minutes from the May 21, 2024 Regular meeting. Yvonne Meyer seconded  Ernesto DeLeon were all present.  the motion. Motion Carried. Mayor Announcements:  a. Meeting with Commissioner McCoy on June 12th, 2024  i. Discussion on funding for the balance of the Water Well for the ii. Discussion on funding approved for the Playground Park  North side oft town.  OLD BUSINESS  a. Discussion and possible action to close three (3) Farm Bureau Bank CD's, and transfer the funds into a checking account to paying the Constable's a. Douglas Harris made the motion to close all oft the CD, withdraw all funds needed to pay for the Constable's Contract, and re-invest the funds into a higher paying CD. Cary Lamensky seconded the  Office.  motion. Motion Carried.  b. Discussion and possible action to approve the draft contract for contracting with Precinct 4 Constable's Office  a. Yvonne Meyer made the motion to request the City Attorney to request some changes to the contract. Cary Lamensky seconded  the motion. Motion Carried.  NEW BUSINESS  a. Discussion with resident Ms. Dawson regarding her studies with Texas A&M about her community research project on human a. Ms. Dawson did not show. Meeting moved forward.  trafficking.  1    b. Discussion and possible action on the 2024 Planning Calendar for a. City Council was made aware of the upcoming deadlines of the 2024 Planning Calendar for the 2025' Tax year. No action taken. Next meeting planned for. July 11,2024to  the 2025 Tax Year.  make Fort Bend County timelines.  Financial Report: Yvonne Meyer made the motion to approve the Financial Report as presented. Carolyn Sabrsula seconded the motion. Motion Carried.  City Building Report:  a. Building-1 1 b. Electrical-3 - - Plumbing-1  Water/Sewer Report:  a. Water Well is fully repaired now. - Insurance has covered the claim b. Complaint about construction debris not being secured during storms.  from the lightning strike damage.
