Published on March 1, 2023;  PUBLIC HEARING NOTICE  BROOKS COUNTY TEXAS COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT BLOCK GRANT PROGRAM 2023-2024 Community Development (CD) Fund, Downtown Revitalization Program (DRP), State Urgent Need Fund (SUN), and Colonia Fund - Construction (CFC) Brooks County will hold a public hearing at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday, March 16, 2023, at the Brooks County Courthouse, Office oft the County Judge, located at 100 East Miller Street, Falfurrias, Texas, regarding the submission of the applications to the Texas Department of Agriculture (TDA) for 2023-2024 Community Development (CD) Fund and State Urgent Need (SUN) Fund, the Downtown Revitalization Program fund (DRP), and the Colonia Fund-Construction (CFC) under the Texas Community Development Block Grant Program (TXCDBG) program. The purpose of this meeting is to allow citizens an opportunity to discuss the citizen participation plan, the amounts of TxCDBG funding available, all eligible TxCDBG activities, and the use of past TxCDBG funds. The County encourages citizens to participate in the development of TxCDBG application(s) and to make their views known at this public hearing. Citizens unable to attend this meeting may submit their views and proposals to Eric Ramos, County. Judge, att the Courthouse. Persons with disabilities that wish to attend this meeting should contact the Courthouse to arrange for assistance. Individuals who require auxiliary aids or services for this meeting should contact the Courthouse at least two days before the meeting sO that appropriate arrangements can be made.
