Budget Workshop  Honorable Judge Eric Ramos stated that since they were out in conference and hasn'thad time to work on the budget as he thought he would be. Judge Ramos stated that the Court would be meeting weekly until the budget is adopted and that we still haven'treceived the certified values but think that Discussed a possible COLA in November for everyone and a salary increase for elected officials; have received 2 grants and waiting on 5 more, and moving the people from the COVID grants; creating a grant department and moving Mr. Ramirezand Mr. Lopez to this department moving them to the General fund with the possibility of being paid out of a grant fund; discussed State Legislative law that passed raising the deputies salary to $45,000 (patrol) and the Sheriff $75,000 totaling $60-70,000 sO would need toi fund this since it is the State law. Judge Ramos did mention that Discussed the Road and Bridge Fund on road construction/repar in adding double the monies for next year for the Commissioners'. Discussed the possibility of adding an individual to the County and District Clerk's office. Katy Salinas addressed the court in reference to the semi (pay period) and is asking ift this is to be done and would like to know as soon as possible. Oralia Morales in reference to the air conditioner, on where the funds will be coming from. Judge Ramos stated that the funds will be coming from the fund balance and shouldn'taffect us. It was discussed that we would be meeting  we should have them by July 11th.  there is a grant tol help smaller counties fund this and will be applying.  next Thursday.  11. Adjourn.
