MINUTES: AMELIA ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT AUTHORITY REGULAR MEETING HELD ONTUESDAY APRIL 9, 2024 AT 10:00. A.M. ATTHE AMELIA COUNTY CONFERENCE ROOM EDA MEMBERS PRESENT: ELDON DIEFFENBACH ROBERT C. Smith. The five members present, in person, voted and approved the request of Maudie Scott to attend remotely. Roll Call was taken by Taylor Harvie. Robert Llewellyn offered the invocation. Everyone participated in the Pledge of Allegiance. COMMUNICATION FROM CITIZENS There was no communication from citizens. APPROVAL/ACCEPTANCE OF MINUTESAND FINANCIAL REPORTS The March 2024 minutes were approved on ai motion by Maudie Scott. The March 2024 Treasurer's reports were deferred. OLD/NEW BUSINESS A. Richardson Road site 1. GOVA Grant Application Update The next step is to wait for their determination oft the grant. Ifmore information is needed, they may do an in-person site visit, but is not necessary at this time. May have a decision by May 2024. 2. VDEP Grant Application Update The application has been stalled and requested a sites suitability study prior to administrator They would be willing toj pay for the additional site suitability study. Timmons provided a scope of work and will be submitted to DHCD and will take 45-60 days to complete.
