Supervisor Morris: Attended the Library meeting and asked if we could look into different ordinances for zoo/exotics, homelessness, and vacation rentals. He also asked about the Emmerson building on Richardson Road which Supervisor felts stated that it is in the process Supervisor Easter: Attended routine meetings and answered questions from citizens. Supervisor Robinson: Attended a CPMT and VACO steering committee meeting. Reminded everyone that on September 28, 2024 there will be a townhall meeting. Supervisor Felts motioned to deny the Special Exception for a detached dwelling unit, as presented, be denied, based upon the location being inappropriate and in conflict with the Comprehensive Plan and the statement ofintent for the district in which it is located, that the public health, safety, and general welfare will be adversely affected, and that necessary safeguards are not provided for the protection of surrounding property, persons, and neighborhood values, such concerns unable to be addressed through reasonable conditions. Specifically, the allowance in this location of two (2) dwelling units on one lot isi inconsistent with the original and intended use ofthis subdivision and negatively impacts the general welfare of remaining owners of the lots within this subdivision.
