MINUTES TOWN COUNCIL PUBLIC HEARING TOWN OF SHENANDOAH TOWN CHARTER CHANGES AUGUST 27, 2024  The Shenandoah Town Council held aj public hearing on Tuesday, August 27, 2024, beginning at  7:00p p.m., with Mayor Clinton O. Lucas, Jr., presiding. The meeting began with the Pledge of Allegiance.  ATTENDANCE  Council Members present were: Mayor Clinton O. Lucas, Jr.; Vice Mayor William Kite; Council Members Lynn Fox;I. Michael Lowe; Richard Pierce; and Christopher Reisinger.  Council Members absent were: Councilwoman Denise Cave  Other Town Officials present were: Charles Jenkins, Town Manager; Angie Schrimscher, Citizens present were: Robert Zirkle, Sue Zirkle, Brittaney Sutherland, Jennifer Morris, Melissa Media Representatives: There were no media representatives present at this time. CALLTOORDER: Mayor Lucas opened the public hearing at 7:00 p.m. He stated this  Town Clerk; Paul Davis, Chief of] Police.  Smith, Diane Shifflett, Brenda Haggett, and Jennifer Eppard.  meeting was to discuss the changes to the' Town Charter. Mayor Lucas inquired ift there were any questions about the changes.  No one present had any questions.  A motion was made by Vice Mayor Kite, seconded by Councilman Reisinger to approve the  changes to the Town Charter, as presented. Members Vote was as follows: YEA: Vice Mayor Kite Councilman Fox Councilman Lowe Councilman Pierce Councilman Reisinger ABSTAIN: Mayor Clinton 0.
