Dale Lipscomb openedwith prayer, followed by Councilmember Nye-Paugh motioned to accept the of minutes from Monday, January 23d, 2022. the Pledge of Allegiance. Announcements: - Those with intent to file their Candidate Intent Form have until March 14th to file with the Town Hall. - Playground disassembly dayi is being planned for April 15th. The new Playground installation will be in Two Council Seats and the Mayor seat are all up for election. the first week of May. Recognized Guests: GC Sherriff's Department - Sheriff Meyers got ahold ofCouncilmember Brady to speak on his behalf. He Nancy Brady - Helping Hands Thrift. Shop = Just wanted to report to the council what the income for the thrift has been. Total income for two months was $1,025.45. $201.30 was spent on paintfor the thrift shop. Special thanks to Rick Armstrong & Sandy Browning for painting. The ending balance was Dalton Smith - SmithSweeping = Introduced himself and his street sweeper business. Came to ask if the town would need his services. Mayor Reckart asked what his prices were. Dalton informed the mayor and the council that he could charge by the hour, or cut a deal to do the entire town, whatever would be cheaper for the town. Also said that there are different options of what to do with the gravel once it's gathered up. Mayor Reckart informedSmith that we will take his business into consideration Diane Kisner- The Library will be celebrating Dr. Seuss this week. National Library Week is coming up in April. To celebrate this, we will be hosting Didgeridoo Down Under" on April 26th, 2023, at 10:30AM. Rob Thomas will be bringingseveral of these instruments to present to those who attend. Thomas Vose - Just wanted to report that the updated restrooms at the school look great and hopes Sharon Paugh - K.V.F.D. - Verified the Date for Homecoming is. July 22nd, 2023. Homecoming - Janice Ray Band agreed for Entertainment. 12P to3 3P. -Jay Savage will be hosting the' Volleyball Tournament (AM) Jimmy & Tiara Hinebaugh will be hosting the Cornhole Tournament. (AM) Will be getting the Firework Invoice next week.. Garrett Art's Council Grant has been submitted. Currently Booking' Vendors. -D's Eats is already signed. up to attend. Kona Ice has signed upt to attend. Attorney Letter = Billing rate increase. Mike Llewelyn, the town's attorney, sent a letter to the town to inform us of the rate increase of his services. His rate has increased to $200.00/hour. Tax' Yield Rate - Councilmember Brady motioned to keep the Tax' Yield Rate the same as previous Use oft the Community Building The community building has been requested for use by a non-profit group for parents who have lost children. They would liket to start hosting their meetings in March. There will be a rental agreement signed and they will not be charged. Councilmember Nye-Paugh motions to allow the usage of the community building, with an annual contract. Councilmember Sidewalk Project Vote: There was no vote made to approve the Bid Proposal from Carl Belt. Mayor Reckart: said that he would get in touch with Carl Belt to see how to remedy the amount we were over years. Councilmember Harvey seconded the motion. 3-0. Motion carried. Harvey-s Somebody brought to her attention that there is a dog on a chain that goes across the sidewalk on West Main! Street sO people cannot walk on the sidewalk. I'm not sure if that would be at town issue or animal control. Mayor Reckart stated that he would be looking into it. G.N Michael Brady - There are some potholes on Homestead Street that need some attention. Councilmember Harvey added that there is also one on her: street (State Street). Beccie added that there areankle breaking potholes in front of Diane Nye-Paugh's house (Center Street). Justin asked if wel have ever thought about getting hot mix to fix the holes? Mayor Reckart stated that yes, we have Diane Nye-Paugh - Do we have anything that talks about storage containers parked on the street? Councilmember Brady as long asi it is tagged,and is in date, then no. It would be the same as a vehicle Councilmember Nye-Paugh motioned to adjourn the meeting at 7:56PM.
