Grants: Community Legacy Grant - We were awarded $125,000 instead of $175,000 to update & repair our sidewalks. USDA-N Mayor Reckart and Town Clerk met with Linda Lindsay on 01/11/2022 to review & sign application. The POS-V Waiting on the spring to get work done to the pond. Must begin before 06/01/2022. Well Connected Communities Again, just waiting on spring to install new picnic tables. KJ's Landscaping returned estimates for the maintenance of the New Welcome to Kitzmiller Sign. application has been completely submitted. Old Business: -LED Lights - Mayor Reckart is to meet with Richie sometime next week. They will also be discussing when our contract for our current light fixtures is to end, which should be sometime this year, or possibly next year. When Christmas Pole Lights - They were received, put up, and taken down already since the last meeting (November 2021). They look fantastic. There is $400.00 left over from raising the money for new ones. That money was voted on last meeting to be used to install outlets int the park sO hopefully we will be able to "Light up the park" for Christmas. *Idea came from Robert Paugh, and was considered this year for Old Fashioned Christmas, but there was no electricity to be able to do SO. Hence why it was voted to install outlets throughout the park. * Trees around Town = Kiddy's Contracting, LLC was able to come to town to remove some dead trees. There was one behind Kitzmiller Assembly of God Church and a bunch of them int the race across from 252 West Main Street. There is still plenty of wood there for the taking; just make sure you bring your own chainsaw. Old Fashioned Christmas - It has been deemed a success and was already discussed. Personnel Policy - The attorney reached out to Beccie by email, and there were a few things in the personnel policy that he has questions about. They will be discussing the Personnel Policy later this week. Storm Drainage at Mike Hechmer's - The County is still working on this. Company Store Flooring - We were granted $2,000 from the GC. Commissioners. - The flooring has been installed and it looks perfect. Barb invited anyone who wanted to take a peek at it to go ahead. - Mountain Maryland PACE - Has been postponed until March 12th & 13th. Mayor Reckart will still be attending. *Nancy Brady asked who exactly pays fort the mayor to attend the meeting?. She remembered in the past, that Kitzmiller was unable to attend due to not having the extra funding. *Mayor Reckart The company that Iwork for, KML, pays for me to go to the PACE Meeting, SO it benefits our town tremendously that Iget to go. * Closed CD Account = Account has been closed.
