Opening prayer was led by Rita followed by the Pledge of Allegiance led by Mayor Reckart & Council. It also looks like it could use a good cleaning. Mayor Reckart asked Beccie to give Barb a call to provide the answers. For the burning, we can put something in the newsletter that will be coming out. The race is low, because the river is low and the gate that allows more water to flow through the race is currently broken. Beccie is to check with the Garrett County Correctional Facility to see if the inmates could come down to help clean the race, mow, and/or weed eat. The Town Clerk and Maintenance Department is working with the Tim Wilt & Andrea Nicole - The rain running off the bank building beside them is flooding their basement. Can the Town contact community action to see if there is anything they can do. Also, their water stinks and is sometimes brown. Mayor Reckart informed Tim & Andrea that the Town, Garrett Co. Public Utilities, & County Commissioners have been communicating back and forth. Public Utilities and the State Department of Environment are currently working on trying to figure out what the exact reason is that the water has an odor to be able to come up with a resolution. New Business: Sand forVolleyball Court: Beccie researched how much sand was placed in the volleyball court when it was initially installed. Currently, if we would get one load of sand from Fairfax, with it being delivered, it would cost us $757.68 per load at $34.44 per ton. HOWEVER, Dave Burrell told Beccie to call his boss and he would donate a load on his time to pick up the sand and deliver it for us to help save, on cost. Beccie is going to have a conversation with Rich in the morning when he returns her phone call.
