McIntosh Town Council Minutes Mcintosh Town Council Meeting Civic Center 5835 Avenue G June 11, 2020 The meeting was called to order with the reciting of the Pledge to the Flag Roll call was taken with Council President Mullikin, Vice President Callahan, Council Member Ciotti, Council Member Roddy, Council Member Dodd, Mayor Hamilton, Attorney Sarah Wolking and Town Manager Nelson present. Consent Agenda Items: All matters listed within the Consent Agenda have been distributed to each member of the Mcintosh Town Council for reading and study, are considered to be routine, and will be enacted by one motion of the Council with no separate discussion. If separate discussion is desired, that item may be removed from the Consent. Agenda and placed on the Regular Agenda by 1) Minutes of the Town Council Meetings for May 2020 were read. Guests: Citizen Comments: Citizen Board Committee Updates: First Reading Charter Change Referendum-Devore announced that all substantive changes were made to the Charter expect for a few typographical and formatting changes which will be made by the next meeting. Dodd made a motion to accept the version understanding uniformity and typographical corrections would be made. Callahan seconded. Mcintosh Town Council Minutes Mcintosh Town Council Meeting Civic Center 5835 Avenue G June 11, 2020 Crime Watch Organization - Jason Jones said the Crime Watch Organization decided that they School signs on fence - Jonathan Ward requested that the town pass a resolution to put up a maximum of nine signs on the fence along U. S. Highway 441. One sign would be the maximum size of 10'x3' (the school sign) and the other eight would be 6 ft. x3 3ft. These signs would only be left in place until the sponsorship expired. The sigs would be kept in reasonable repair and would be from reputable local companies. The school also requested promotional signs for a maximum ofi four times per year that would only be in view for less than four weeks. The signs would be no more than 10ft. x4ft. Dodd made a motion to accept the above stated resolution and Roddy seconded. Motion would rather stay independent and not become a committee. passed 5-0. Roll Call Mullikin - Yes Callahan- Yes Ciotti- Yes Roddy- Yes Dodd- Yes New Business: New Roof for Town Hall- Callahan made motion to allow Nelson to spend up to $15,000 on a new roof for town hall. Dodd seconded. Motion passed 5-0. Message from the Council: Dodd- asked council to support the Town of Reddick's opposition to a_proposed ATV Park in the Flemington area citing an environmental impact, increased traffic and desire to protect the Farmland Preservation Area designation. Council agreed that they would support this measure and asked the Mayor to sign a letter that would then go to the Marion County Commission. Message from Mayor: Meeting Adjourned
