Antos McIntosh Town Council Minutes Mcintosh Town Council Meeting Civic Center 5835 Avenue G May 8, 2019 The meeting was called to order with the reciting of the Pledge to the Flag. Roll call was taken with Council President Mullikin, Council Member Ciotti, Council Member Callahan, Mayor Hamilton, Attorney Wolking and Town Manager Nelson present. Vice President Kingsley and Council Member Roddy absent. Consent Agenda Items: was read. 1) Minutes of the Town Council Meetings for April 2019 were read. The financial report for April 2019 Council Member Ciotti made a motion to accept the minutes and financial report. Council Member Callahan seconded the motion. Motion passed and carried 3-0 to accept the Guests: Tom Kay, Alachua County Conservation Trust, told council his organization is trying to purchase 71 acres of the Huff property to prevent the land from being developed. The trust needs to raise $70,000 by July 5. Besides the acreage, the property includes a windmill, packing house and citrus shop. The vision for the property, if purchased, would be to have nature trails, community gatherings and an opportunity for artists' paint outs. Citizen Board Committee Updates: Message from the Town Manager: Advanced Disposal: Nelson had a meeting with the regional and district manager regarding issues with trash and yard debris pickup. Review of Mcintosh Charter- Ciotti proposed a review of the town's charter. Roddy made a motion to establish a charter review committee to serve for six months. The board would be made up of six members from the community. Callahan seconded. Motion passed 3-0. 2.
