CALLTOORDER  The meeting was called to order by Mayor Wilkins at 4:03 PM. B. INVOCATION AND PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE  Commissioner Vargas led the invocation, Commissioner Ratica led the Pledge of Allegiance.  ROLLCALL PRESENT Mayor Julie C. Wilkins Commissioner Daniel Akin Commissioner Jackie Ratica Commissioner Bobbie Spratt Commissioner Hugo Vargas Deputy City Clerk Tijauna Warner City Attorney Derek Rooney  ABSENT  ChiefBrent Stevens provided the commission and residents with an overview of the City of LaBelle's Fire Department, highlighting its historical milestones since its establishment in 1921. The presentation covered the department's status as Florida's number one volunter/combination fire department, its recognition as one of the Top 25 busiest firehouses in the state, and included details on personnel allocation, response call statistics, grant applications and a request for Ms. Lilly Davenport delivered a comprehensive line-by-line analysis of the Fire Department Budget during the presentation. Her review encompassed changes in personnel costs, the transition from volunteer to full-time firefighters, adjustments in benefit costs, COLA, and training which There being no further business to discuss, Mayor Wilkins adjourned the workshop at 6:08 PM.  additional staff.  subsequently led to a discussion with the commissioners.
