INGLIS RECREATION COMMITTEE MINUTES  January 232023  MISSION STATEMENT: The Inglis Recreation Committee mission ist to promote recreation and  education of the children, seniors and families in our community.  Pledge Roll Call:  Rajean LaFlower, Chairman Helen Ciallella Ruth Ruppert Isaac Young, Commissioner  Terri Norton, secretary/Treasurer  LynneTate Tamara Slagle  Chairman's Report: Enough has been said about the after the parade.  Treasurer's Report: Still has $1,652.18 in our account in town hall. (Tamara Slagle is looking into this and Secretary's Report: Minutes of September 19 were reviewed. Rajean LaFlower made a motion to accept  will give us this information).  the minutes as written. Lynne Tate 2nd-N Motion carried  Old Business:  After the parade at the Community Center- - discussed. Will see what happens at the HCI meeting in February. This will be Yankeetown's 100th birthday and there may be some special events Mullet Toss/Run including a Mullet Fry with Blue Crabs - Terri Norton made a motion to hold this event Commissioner Young to meet with some of the fishermen from Homosassa regarding this. He will also  happening around the same time.  on October 21, 2023. Lynne Tate 2nd. Motion carried  check with Cedar of Lebanon toi incorporate with their event.  Discussion on setting up at the Seafood Festival in November -1 tabled till later date.  Spring Fling Rajean LaFlower made a motion to hold the Spring Fling at the Inglis Community Center on April 15th, from 11 am - 5 pm, with refreshments and entertainment. Ruth Ruppert 2nd, motion carried. (Ruth Ruppert will handle the music). Asking Carlos about the food truck withi ice cream. Trunk or Treat - believe it willl be October 27th at' Yankeetown School in conjunction with their Fall  Festival.    November 18 and 19 Seafood Festival  December 16 - Breakfast with Santa at the Community Building Desirae Jones)  Lighting oft the Tree - Ruth Ruppert made a motion to hold the Lighting of the Tree, at Inglis Town Hall, with cookies and hot chocolate afterwards. Tree lighting at 5 pm. Terri Norton 2nd, motion carried. Meeting Schedule for thel balance oft the year: All meetings will start at 6:00 pm. Meeting at the Inglis  Town Hall.
