Councilmember Brown: stated that she had some concerns ont this as well, she stated that having tol live in Madison County would limit them on who qualifies as well as some of the other qualifications they are asking for. Mr. Lucas stated that al letter was posted ont the Town Facebook page byt the Interim Town Manager as wella as posted int the newspaper: andt that comments int that letter concerning Councilmember Brown that were not accurate and he is askingt the council to take action. There were claims that Councilmember Brown! had posted at fraudulent letterfrom the Local Grocer fori the grocery: store stating that they no longer wanted to dol business with the Town when int fact this letter was sent by the grocer, and it was also sent to the Town before this was publishedi in the newspaper. Jones stated that he wanted to quickly speak about the things that have been said on his tenure here as he had been staying silent. Mr.. Jones stated that het found out about his termination ina Facebook post and that he received no communication from the Town. Mr. Jones stated that the: specific matter that he would like to address was al letter that posted ont the Facebook page and publishedi int the paper that there was credible evidence that! he had committed fraud which is al big deal and that he had later on found out thati it was some type of document: fraud. Jones went on to state that he had never committed any type of fraud andt that the document that is at question was not drafted or created byl him ora at his request and that the Genisus of that document, the drafting of ita and then the posting of a meeting that was stated that former) Vice Mayor Kathleen Hamilton was there was further from the truth.
