THECITYOF JRANDVIEW TEXAS Handdies  SPECIALCALLED CITY COUNCIL MEETING MINUTES  AUGUST 19, 2024  The Grandview City Council met in special session on Monday, August 19, 2024, at 9:00 a.m. at  City Hall.  1.1 ROLL CALLAND CALLTO ORDER BY MAYOR HOUSTON AT 9:03 AM.  City Council Present: William Houston, Mayor Justin Medenwaldt, Place 1 (Absent) Robert Weeks, Place 2 Curtis Jones, Place 3 Danny Webster, Place 4 Mary Sarver, Mayor Pro-Tern City Administration Present: Katherine Reading, City Manager Shannon Pruitt, City Secretary  2. Invocation was led by Mayor Houston  3. Pledge of Allegiance to the U.S.A. Flag and Texas Pledge was led by Mayor Houston.  4. PUBLIC COMMENTS: No comments made. 5. GENERAL GOVERNMENT:  A. Consider approval of Resolution No. 24-08191, Calling for an Election to be held for the City of Grandview, Texas to elect persons to fill the offices of Council Member Place 1, Council Member Place 3, and Council Member Place 5 for full two-year terms; making provisions for the conduct and notice of such election; providing a Open Meetings Clause;  providing a severability clause; and providing an effective date.  (Presented by Katherine Reading)  Council Member Weeks made a motion to approve Resolution No. 24-08191.  Mayor Pro-Tem Sarverseconded the motion.  Motion carried- all ayes.
