Commissioner Lohr said they came highly recommended and they are needed to modernize the accounting system. Commissioner Vicites said the initial contract is for six months and then there is a 30 day out. Commissioner Lohr said they are still available after six months. Public Announcements -None Public Comments Retired teacher Linda Shear spoke about the history of CAHS Patriots and they have shipped more than 13,000 packets to troops to some of the worst places on Earth. She said letters have come in saying they were shared with 10 people. She said they have affected 130,000 lives if all were shared with 10 people. She also spoke about their work for Wreaths Across America and a concert to help veterans that are driven by veterans. She said this year will be the gth Warriors Rock concert on Saturday, Nov. 2 10 at the Connellsville High School. Commissioner Vicites and Commissioner Dunn thanked her for all she does. FACTI is organized and operated under the Fayette County Office of Human and Community Their administrative office location is: 825 Airport Road, Lemont Furnace, PA 15456. Services. Article II- Creation/Purpose In 1997, the Commissioners passed a Resolution toi form the Transit Advisory Council which is currently known as the Transportation Executive Committee (TEC). The TEC is organized as an advisory committee for the primary purpose of overseeing thei implementation of the county Transit Plan and to improve transportation services in the County by documenting the need for and working toward the development ofa a coordinated and comprehensive transit system to serve all County residents. Article III - Mission The TEC's mission is to improve transportation services in Fayette County by documenting the need for and working toward the development of a coordinated, comprehensive transit system to serve all Fayette County residents. Article IV- Membership: FACT encourages participation on the committee by organizations and/or individuals that represent underserved populations including minority, lowi income, seniors, disabled and limited English proficient as well as general public riders. Should a resident of the County wish to be considered for appointment to the TEC, they must submit al letter of interest to the Board of Commissioners. The letter of interest may be sent directly to the Board of Commissioners at: 61 E. The term limit for a Committee Member will be based upon the type of Section B: The term limit for five (5) of the appointed Members shall be for two (2) years. The term limit for two (2) of the appointed members shall be for three (3) years. These two (2) specific Members with at three (3) year term limit should hold their position on the Committee based upon their representation ofa disadvantaged group within the community regardless of residency (e.g. representing the elderly or the disabled within the County). Should such an individual not be available, the Board of Commissioners may select another Section C: Ifcurrentlexisting Committee Members desire to be reappointed, a Letter of Interest must also be submitted to the Board of Commissioners for approval.
